Installation of eScan Corporate

This section provides information about the software and hardware requirements for your system to install eScan and provides step-by-step instructions for installation.

Software and Hardware Requirements

Your system should have Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 /XP/2003/Vista

Your system should have minimum 128 MB RAM, 300 MB of free hard disk space and a CD ROM drive.

( Note : It will also support 64-bit Operating System. For Windows NT, service pack 6 or above is required. )

 

Prerequisites for Installation:

Before installing the software ensure that the following are done:

 

Installation Process

The software is sent to you on a CD. Put the CD in the drive and open the CD ROM directory. To abort installation, select button "Cancel" . This section gives the step-by-step installation process.

 

Step 1

Once you click on the setup file this "Select Setup Language" window will popup. Here click on drop down button to select the language in which you want to install eScan.

 

After selecting the language click on button "OK" to proceed.

Step 2

After clicking on button "OK". You will get welcome screen shown below.

Click on button "Next" to proceed.

Step 3

Here you need to accept the license agreement.

To accept the License agreement click on radio button "I accept the agreement" . To continue click on "Next" button.

If you do not want to accept click on radio button "I do not accept the agreement".

Step 4

Default installation directory will be displayed. Select button "Next" if you want to install on the default path or browse for another location.

Step 5

Then "Ready to install" window would appear. Click on button "Install" if the destination location shown is the desired one.

Step 6

Then all the required files will be extracted.

Step 7

Once the necessary files have been copied the following screen will appear. If you press button "Yes" button your system will act as an eScan server and If press "No" it will act as a client .

Step 8

Latest updates are downloaded. Before eScan gets installed on your computer.

Step 9

MicroWorld Anti-Virus Toolkit is run. Your system and registry files are checked for hidden viruses.

 

Step 10

Here it will ask you to enter Administrator password for eScan configuration. 

 

Step 11

Here it will generate Auto Spam whitelist.

 

Step 12

Enter the License key. If you are installing a trial version or want to enter the key later, click Cancel.

Step 13

You must get the below window if it does not ask for reboot if it ask for reboot your system to complete the installation. Select Yes if you want to reboot immediately or press "No" if you want to restart it later.
