<B>Q. On scanning with mwav...it stuck at a point where it said scanning Important System files.</B>


<B>Q.</B> What is eScan Remote Support (ERS)? How to login to remote computers. Does it mean you have to download team viewer to be able to access a computer?


<B>Solution:</B> Execute the mwav with /debug as a parameter.


<B>A.</B> We have implemented ERS ( eScan Remote support ) feature in eScan itself so to give the remote you have to just right click on Red shield icon and click on "eScan Remote support"
This will be available after applying the latest eScan HOTFIX installed [[Hotfixes | (Click here for eScan Hotfix Download Link)]].


Yes, you have to download Teamviewer to either initiate the connection with client or to Give a remote connection to another person.




mwav.exe /debug
in the end of the log you will find entries similiar to the ones below :
FileCount= 0 before Scn of C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe...

In such cases close mwav... Navigate to the following path :
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MicroWorld\MWAV\MWAVDBX.MDB
rename the database mwavdbx.mdb and rescan again. The scan should work.
The problem arises due to corruption of the mentioned database.

Q. What is eScan Remote Support (ERS)? How to login to remote computers. Does it mean you have to download team viewer to be able to access a computer?
