<B>Q. My eScan clients are unable to recognize the eScan Server! The Server does make proper announcements & no errors are logged too.  What should be done?</B>
 
 
<I><B>A.</B>  Please check if you have some Software package like Norton Internet Security/ or Zone Alarm or similar softwares / products installed.  These softwares stop UDP broadcast on ports being used by eScan Server and also stop eScan Server from acting like an FTP/HTTP server.
 
Add eServ.exe to the exclude list of NIS/ZA or if this is not possible, instruct these softwares / products to allow communication on default eScan ports of 2001, 3333 and 2021.</I>

After installing eScan and rebooting, printer stops working and if the control would not start in some Intel Dual Core and NVidia Model.


Solution:

1) Launch services.msc from a run command 2) Find the SLUNotify service & stop it 3) Find the Software Licensing service & stop it (it may say that ReadyBoost needs that service to run; stop it anyway) 4) Then restart both services , starting with Software Licensing and then SLUNotify service.

Reboot is not required.
