DOS Based Application sometimes doesn't work after installing eScan,But when we uninstall eScan it start working. How to resolve this?

You can download the wgwin.exe from the below link:
This is due to the error messasge with <B>CLOSE</B> and <B>IGNORE</B> button doesn't get displayed after we install escan. The DOS Application inspite of this error message also generates an event ID & due to this DOS Application doesn't start.

To resolve this make the below changes in the Windows Registry


WGWIN by default takes the connection settings from IE (Default Browser). Just in case you are using the proxy. All you need to do is select the checkbox "Use IE Proxy" before using it (Ensure that you had correctly configured your Internet Browser].
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
ErrorMode Reg_Dword
Change the Value Data to 0

DOS Based Application sometimes doesn't work after installing eScan,But when we uninstall eScan it start working. How to resolve this?


Solution:-

This is due to the error messasge with CLOSE and IGNORE button doesn't get displayed after we install escan. The DOS Application inspite of this error message also generates an event ID & due to this DOS Application doesn't start.

To resolve this make the below changes in the Windows Registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows 
ErrorMode Reg_Dword
Change the Value Data to 0
